Privacy Policy

Who we are. The Vitamin Nurse is owned and operated by Joy Pooley, registered nurse and midwife, Northland, New Zealand. For anything about your information, contact Joy at info@thevitaminnurse.co.nz or 027 848 2646.

What we collect. When you request a menu or make a booking we collect your name, contact details and the health information needed to treat you safely, including your health questionnaire and consent forms. Health information is collected because these treatments are prescribed medicines and a health assessment is legally and clinically required.

How we use it. Your information is used to send you the menu you asked for, assess whether treatment is safe and right for you, obtain a prescription from our overseeing doctor, provide your treatment and keep the clinical records we are required to keep. We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We only send marketing if you have opted in, and you can opt out at any time.

Who sees it. Your health information is shared with our overseeing prescriber for the purpose of your prescription, and with no one else unless you ask us to or the law requires it.

Online booking. Appointments booked through the book now buttons on this site are taken in Timely, the booking system we use to run the practice. The name, contact details and appointment details you enter there are held in Timely’s system on our behalf and used to manage your appointment. Your health questionnaire and clinical records are handled separately, as described above.

Website feedback. The feedback tab on each page sends your note, the address of the page you were on and some technical details about your browser and device to YourHQ, who build and look after this website. It is used to fix the site and for nothing else.

Storage and security. Records are stored securely and retained as required for health records in New Zealand. Website enquiries are transmitted over a secure connection.

Your rights. Under the Privacy Act 2020 and the Health Information Privacy Code 2020 you can ask to see the information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email info@thevitaminnurse.co.nz and we will sort it.

Cookies and analytics. This site counts visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not collect anything that identifies you. It tells us which pages get read, not who read them. We do not use a Facebook Pixel or any advertising trackers. The book now buttons load Timely’s booking widget, and Timely may set cookies of its own when you use it; Timely’s privacy policy covers those.
